新版《動物檢疫管理辦法》和《動物防疫條件審查辦法》自2022年12月1日起施行。
新版《動物檢疫管理辦法》明確農業農村主管部門負責動物檢疫監督管理，動物疫病預防控制機構提供有關技術支撐，對受理輸入無疫區的動物、動物產品檢疫申報的機構作出調整，明確官方獸醫的資格條件、任命程序、培訓和考核要求等。
新版《動物防疫條件審查辦法》規定，動物飼養場、隔離場所、屠宰加工場所、無害化處理場所等四類場所應當配備與其生產經營規模相適應的執業獸醫或動物防疫技術人員，患有人畜共患傳染病的人員不得在場所內直接從事相關活動。
